Wine is a man’s invention: man makes wine and wine “contains the hand” of those who make it.
Wine is always a mediation, a compromise between man and Nature. In our work we try to shift as much as possible this compromise in favour of Nature, promoting “in the simplest and most direct way” to expression of the natural elements contained in the bunch of grapes: the vine, the vineyard, the land, the vintage.
The heart of this activity is the vineyards
The 15 hectares of vineyards are planted in the hills, at an average altitude of 250 meters above sea level, reared with Guyot pruning, to allow the annual renewal of the fruiting head.
The planting density is about 4500 vines per hectare. The cultivation operations are aimed, in particular, to favor a natural balance of production vegetation with very low yields.
The calcareous clay soils give particular characteristics to wines: structure where clay is richer, refinement and elegance of bouquet where limestone and draining pebbles prevail.
Trebbiano, Malvasia, Falanghina and Moscato are cultivated for white wines;
Montepulciano, Cabernet and Sauvignon for red wines to which is added the autochthonous variety of Tintilia.
The replanting of this vineyard and the vinification of these grapes is the expression of an accurate company choice of rediscovery, respect and enhancement of the territory of Molise.
